My story is that I took a shot at a music career as a singer and songwriter in the 1980s in New York City. When it wasn’t happening, I went into information technology, and got married, and raised two daughters. In 2014, I was divorced and moved in Austin, and got back into music.
This time around, with the pressure off, I’m taking a more workmanlike approach. I’m taking songs that I have written and rewritten over the years and trying to figure out how to make them into recordings. The songs I write are about relationships. I have a pop music esthetic, but the genres vary. I plan to sing some but also work with other singers.
I think the songs have potential, but there is a lot involved in trying to make “records” – I want to explore that process and be open about it.
